Why it was recalled

The FSA's risk statement:

As these products were not prepared in line with food hygiene and legislative requirements, they may be unsafe.

Details from the notice

A number of seafood and products of animal origin (predominately raw cut chicken, beef knuckles and frozen prawns) supplied by The Chicken Guy Ltd. have not been produced in accordance with food hygiene and legislative requirements.

These products are not compliant with hygiene, labelling and traceability requirements and are deemed unsafe. They should not be consumed.

We have asked enforcement authorities to contact premises in their local areas who may sell the affected products to ensure that they are removed from sale. Affected products identified at any premises should be withdrawn and recalled.

A Food Alert for Action asks local authorities and businesses to take specific action, usually because the problem is serious or widespread.

How this recall compares
