Peanut
Details from the notice
Damasgate Wholesale is recalling Sofra Garlic Powder because it contains peanuts which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts. This recall has been updated as some products have been over stickered with Precautionary Allergen Labelling (PAL). Where a PAL is present on products clearly indicating that peanut may be present, these are unaffected by this product recall.
An Allergy Alert is issued when an allergen is missing from the label or labelled wrongly.
What the business is doing
Damasgate Wholesale is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.
