Why it was recalled

The FSA's risk statement:

Milk and Mustard

These products contain milk and mustard making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and / or an allergy to mustard.

Details from the notice

Quorn Food is recalling three variants of its Quorn Bites products (Sweet Chilli, Korma, and Garlic & Herb) because they contain mustard and milk which are not mentioned on the label. As a result of a packaging error some packs have been packaged incorrectly across the three variants. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents and / or an allergy to mustard.

An Allergy Alert is issued when an allergen is missing from the label or labelled wrongly.

What the business is doing

Quorn Foods is recalling the above products from customers and been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products. Please see the attached notice.
