Why it was recalled

The FSA's risk statement:

The products listed above may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea. Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.

Details from the notice

Soupologie has taken the precautionary step of recalling three varieties of soup because they may contain Listeria monocytogenes.

A Product Recall Information Notice tells the public about food that is unsafe and is being removed from sale.

What the business is doing

Soupologie is recalling the above products. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products.
