How to get food recall alerts

Last reviewed 5 October 2026 against the sources listed below.

Most people only hear about a recall by chance. These free options tell you as soon as a recall is published. Pick the ones that suit you.

Official alerts from the FSA

The Food Standards Agency sends food recall and allergy alerts by email or text for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Sign up on GOV.UK. Food Standards Scotland runs its own service for Scotland.

Browser alerts from this site

Get a notification on your phone or computer when a new recall matches what you care about, for example only milk and peanut alerts, or only Tesco and Aldi. No account or email address needed. Set up browser alerts.

RSS feeds

If you use a feed reader, follow all recalls or just one allergen, supermarket or hazard. See all feeds.

Allergy charities

Allergy UK, Anaphylaxis UK and Coeliac UK share allergy alerts with their members. See the allergy alerts guide.
