Why it was recalled

The FSA's risk statement:

Allergen: Milk

This product contains milk making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Details from the notice

PepsiCo is recalling Doritos Chilli Heatwave because some packs contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. Some packs may have been packed with the wrong product which contains milk.

This recall has been extended to include the 180g pack size.

An Allergy Alert is issued when an allergen is missing from the label or labelled wrongly.

What the business is doing

PepsiCo is recalling the above product from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. Please see the attached notice.
